About This Spot

Stepping into Jumbi at Copeland Park feels like entering a vibrant crossroads where the laid-back charm of a Caribbean street market melds effortlessly with the pulse of contemporary London nightlife. The space hums with an easy warmth — somewhere between the relaxed buzz of friends gathering over shared plates and the rhythmic backdrop of a well-curated DJ set spinning vinyl classics that complement the colorful wall art and eclectic décor.

Here, the atmosphere flows with a casual energy that invites lingering conversations and slow savoring. It’s neither polished nor pretentious; rather, it’s an honest, lived-in vibe that seems to embody the layered influences of the city and the islands it celebrates. The pace is unhurried yet lively, making it the kind of spot where you might come for a quick meal and end up staying until the music winds down.

The menu at Jumbi feels like an exploration in itself — a playful intersection of bold Caribbean flavours with unexpected twists. Think of warming yourself with hearty, spiced oxtail or indulging in tender jerk chicken that carries the unmistakable signature of the islands. Alongside these, you’ll find dishes that surprise and delight, like plantain nachos topped with beans or the fusion of Turkish and Jamaican influences that emerge in inventive creations. The food arrives in generous portions, encouraging sharing and discovery at the table.

In many ways, dining here is a shared human moment — the kind that makes you appreciate a lively space where good food, approachable drinks, and friendly service come together without fuss. It’s a place where the joy is found in the layers of experience: the vibrant sounds, the welcoming service, the unexpected combinations on your plate, and the easy smiles exchanged across the table.

Jumbi thrives on its authentic, rhythm-driven identity — a neighborhood spot that doesn’t just serve Caribbean cuisine, but invites you to join a communal celebration of culture and conviviality right in the heart of London.

Great atmosphere, great food - loved the plantain dumplings the most, 10/10. Nice balance of flavours

This place has such a nice atmosphere. The service was good. We had the Sunday roast which was nice (could have had more roast potatoes) and The Guava glazed chicken to start which was really delicious, along with a fish croquette type starter (you get 4 I just didn’t take a picture in time!)

DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE… but kind of do. This place has been all over my feed, probably yours too. A bar and restaurant with a live DJ, teaming up with a jerk chicken kitchen, makes for a really fun night. It’s far from polished in terms of decor, but it’s gorgeous. They’ve nailed the look. The wall of vinyl is a visual highlight and ties the space together. Food’s decent but the menu’s quite niche, likely down to a small kitchen. The taco-style flatbread was a standout: super spicy. The West Indian version of halloumi with honey was also excellent & still thinking about it. The rest was fine, nothing special. Cocktails were a mixed bag. The rum and raisin espresso martini was brilliant; their old fashioned, not so much, bad glass, poor presentation, and overpriced for what it was. Staff were friendly and cool but service was slow, especially for ordering another drink. And only one dessert on the menu? Odd choice.

Service is really good. We booked a table so I was sat down quickly. Something went there on the menu so would’ve liked to have tried the prawns but the fritters and boneless chicken bites were pretty good. They give very sizable portions. The lamb shank was good with the meat falling off of the bone. No diddy. Very sizable portion flavour was there. Cocktails are only hitting me now hence why my review is about to end.

I will be back! Food - delicious. Venue - stunning. Music - great. Service - friendly. The vibes of this restaurant was impeccable. And the turkish/jamaican fusion worked really well. Bravo on a brilliant restaurant

Great food, polite and very professional serving staff. Atmosphere was friendly and busy. Good music but it seemed to get louder and louder, you almost had to shout to be heard whilst having a meal and this was before 8pm. I understand the tables are moved at 10pm to make way for dancing, so then the music can be as loud as choose then.

We came here for a drink - having already made a reservation. It turned out that Jumbi is more of a restaurant and less of a bar! We ordered cocktails and some food as well. Next time I’ll come with a larger appetite!

I went here yesterday with my wife. It was a place I always wanted to go to, because they do an infusion of dishes which is Jamaican & Turkish, called Jurkish. I must say, I was not disappointed. We tired most things on the menu and we enjoyed them all. The standout dishes for me were the Plantain Falafel and Saltfish Badadez Kofte. We also had some delicious cocktails.
